Weight Loss Program 2016 #Veganuary
My friends and I have this weight loss program challenge which started last December of 2015. Most of you are probably thinking that December is not the best month to start a diet. Exactly! Right? I didn't really put on too much weight after I gave birth 7 months ago, but during the holidays I tell you it's really hard to resist that lechon on the table! This weight loss program is sort of the same with the biggest loser challenge. Yup, there is money involved! It's not too big but good enough to keep us motivated.
So here's how it works, there are 6 of us, all of us have to initially pay Php100 and the collected money will serve as the grand price for the winner. We have a scheduled monthly weigh-in starting January and the last weigh-in will be by the end of March. Just in time for us to have that beach body for the upcoming summer. Haha! Here's the catch, during the monthly weigh-in there will be a penalty of Php100 for every person who added some weight. This penalty will help you and your friends get more motivated and of course this way the price gets bigger and bigger. The penalty will also make the game more exciting! Start the year right! Do this with your friends, family or colleagues, this is a very healthy activity you can do with them. Plus it's a win-win situation, you might not win the money but shedding of some weight will already make you a winner.
On our first weigh-in last December 19 I was at 140.8 pounds, I gained a total of 15 pounds from my original weight before pregnancy. So obviously, my goal in this weight loss program is to shed off that 15 pounds and get back to my original shape. I don't want to reveal my current weight yet, but I gained a few pounds over the holidays. My friends are probably laughing their asses off right now as they read this, but let's see I still have a week before the weigh-in and everyone will know my weight by then.
I am pretty serious with the challenge, and yesterday was my first food delivery from The Sexy Chef. About a year ago I used to order my calorie counted food from Edgy Veggy and Yummy Diet, and this is the first time I tried The Sexy Chef. The food plan that I got from them is the Vegan/Vegetarian fit meal, I'll be having this for a week and from there let's see how this goes.
If you noticed, my blog title has a hashtag that says #veganuary. I don't plan to go vegan forever, but I support this cause. Let's all take part and be vegan this January. I am still learning as I go through the process but you can visit the veganuary website to know more about them and their causes. Join me on my venture! Let's try and be vegan this month!
