Welcome To The World Baby Tali
Last Wednesday June 10, 2015 I have given birth to a healthy little baby girl named Auburn Talitha. After three days in the hospital and two days of adjustment period here at home, with all the late night cuddle and bonding with baby Tali, finally I have the time to blog again.
Giving birth to my first baby is such a good and fulfilling experience. The joy that it has given me is something money cannot buy and friends cannot give. I am just so happy that baby Tali is a healthy baby despite my Parkinson’s disease and the meds I had to take during my pregnancy. Hopefully the PD meds won't have any bad effects on her in the long run. Though she's a little bit small when she came out, but good thing her weight turned out just right, not too heavy and not too light for us to get alarmed. So far, I am holding on to what the pediatrician told us that Tali is an overall healthy baby. Thank God! Right now we are still waiting for the results of the newborn screening and hearing test, hopefully the result of that will be good too. Just too bad that because of the PD meds I was taking, it didn't allow me to produce breast milk for baby Tali which will help her grow better and healthier. I know that nothing beats breast milk for babies but I hope the formula prescribed to us by the pedia will still make her healthy.
Having a baby takes so much responsibility, from handling her with care, changing her diaper, feeding her when she's hungry and the hardest part is to be awake late at night just to check on her or to simply be with her while she's awake when she’s not yet ready to sleep. I am obviously still on the adjusting stage. Given all these responsibilities with the baby, it leaves the house dirty and it made us order a take out on our first night at home since there's really no time to cook. Good thing that my partner has been helping me so far both with the chores and taking care of our baby Tali. This will definitely be an awesome struggle for me and my partner, let's see how we pass this stage and learn more as we go by. I'll probably share the struggles and the experience with you in my future blog posts.
Follow me on facebook, and for mommies out there who are much much more experienced than me, let me know what to expect on the future weeks and future months with the baby through fb comments. I'd love to learn from you guys! :)
