Life Update: Soap Making & Tali's Christening Preparation
I've been busy the past few weeks making soaps and preparing stuff for Tali's christening.
First, I would like to express my addiction on soap making. Yes, you read it right! I am addicted in making soaps. It usually take most of my time during the day, and even at night. Good thing with a 2 month old baby is that they are always asleep! So I take advantage of my free time when Tali is sleeping or when my boyfriend comes home early from work to switch with me in taking care of our baby.
During the past few weeks, I was so busy making as many soaps as I can since soap curing takes 4 weeks and I want to be ready for the bazaars before Christmas. In making soaps it is important to me that it looks perfect aesthetic wise, and of course I also want to make sure that it is good for the skin when used. My boyfriend and I actually started using the first few batches of soaps I made, and as someone with skin asthma I think I'm the first person to judge if the soap is good or not. So far, I can definitely say that the soaps I make are good for the skin but of course I can't speak for everyone since different people have different skin types. The only thing I can assure you is that, natural oils and ingredients are used in the soaps I make, which makes it a better soap as compared to the ones bought in the grocery stores.
Here is a sample of a Christmas soap I made, perfect if given as a gift for friends and/or families.
Secondly, Tali's christening is scheduled one month from now but I'm just so excited to prepare and organize everything as early. The celebration will be intimate for ninang, ninong and relatives. It will be a small celebration where all food are home cooked, plus a DIY dessert table. I will update you guys on how I'll do that. No one told me preparing for events can be this fun, especially if you love doing DIY's like me. Can't wait to prepare Tali's first birthday! lol
In addition to the soaps that I made, here are cupcake soaps, souvenir for Tali's christening.
